Torment is the sequel to Fallen, which is one of Lauren Kate's fallen angel series. . It continues the story of Luce who discovered her true love Daniel who's a fallen angel. Luce and Daniel are star crossed lovers. Luce dies every 17 years after Daniel kisses her and then every 17 years she’s reincarnated. Every time Daniel can't help but fall for Luce and her for him. Luce now knows about her past lives with Daniel but she must still figure them out on her own. After a war between good and evil Daniel sends Luce to a school in California to protect her from the outcasts. Daniel and Luce are finally suppose to be together but the angels got called for an 18 day truce. Luce is out of the loop and Daniel is keeping secrets from her. This book is about Luce and her new school, which is completely different from her old school. Daniel is hardly ever around and Luce starts to fall for another boy at school.

I have mixed feelings about this book. There's more going on and its definitely more interesting than the first. There were a couple times where I wish I could shake Luce because she was being idiotic and contradicting. She understood why Daniel couldn’t tell her things, yet she still got mad constantly. I still have a lot of unanswered questions and the third book isn’t out yet so now I have to wait. I want to know what exactly happened with Daniel and Shelby too. I liked it overall I just still have lots of unanswered questions. I'm interested in finding out what happens to Daniel and Luce.
Overall, I would rate Lauren Kates Torment with 4 stars!! :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! to be honest, i wasn't quite feeling the first book. I'd get mad at Daniel for being so secretive and I'd get angry for Luce for not defending herself. I'm glad to hear book to has more action going on... i might give it a try :) thanks for posting!
